The Chetham’s Big Band

Chethams School in Manchester is the largest specialist music school in the UK and many of our professional musicians come from this famous Manchester institution. Music schools and colleges run courses in many musical genres and this includes areas with jazz influence. Expect a band of thirty musicians, playing brass, bass, percussion and perhaps piano. Music may well be from the jazz or swing eras but to find out you will have to be there on the night – this evening will be something of a departure for our Club.
