Rose and Matthew Mclachlan Piano Duo
Owing to illness we have to revert to a solo concert by Matthew McLachlan. Some of the original music stays but Chopin will now be included. Our apologies for this and we trust you will still enjoy the concert
Rose and Matthew Mclachlan Piano Duo
Rachmaninoff 6 Morceaux piano duet
Liszt Paganini Etudes solo
Ravel Mother Goose Suite piano duet
Chopin 2nd Scherzo solo
Scriabin 7th Sonata solo
Apologies about the Ginastera going missing
Rose and Matthew have been welcome visitors at our Club since their early teens being involved in concerts including Mozart and Beethoven Piano Concertos as well as solo recitals. We remember Rose’s first concert as being deeply affecting – technical excellence but with serious musicality. Matthew most recently gave us a solo performance of massive virtuosity. Tonight’s concert features popular works for both soloist and duo. Finally we get to hear La Valse in Rhyl, a piece astride two worlds – late Romantic music but with a decidedly modern twist.
