Ezo Sarici and Deniz Cengiz
Ezo Sarici – violin, Deniz Cengiz – piano
We welcome back Ezo Sarici to the club. Ezo comes from a musical family – her father is a musician and composer, her mother a guitarist. Ezo started music at the age of four at the Royal Academy ‘First String Experience’. She continued her musical studies at Junior Guildhall and the Menuhin School. For this concert she returns with a pianist friend, Deniz Cengiz. She began her studies in Istanbul, came to the Purcell School in 2022 and from there to the Hochschule in Leipzig.
The programme reflects the musicians’ interest in a variety of genres and styles from the classicism of Brahms to the ‘Nuevo tango’ of the Argentinian composer Piazzolla – the fusing of tango rhythms with jazz syncopation. The inclusion of two pieces from Gershwin’s folk opera ‘Porgy and Bess’ will compliment this enjoyable and exciting musical programme.
