Last season’s visit by the Big Band was quite remarkable. Nearly 30 students from Chets with their laid-back director/compere, Richard, who has brought this Band to a stunning standard.

Chethams is often thought of as a school for classical music, but it is far more than that, and my recent visit to the Piano Summer School was a revelation.
From last time I especially remember the entertaining pianist and the saxophone group.. The school is awash with talent and many of these students have high order careers ahead of them.
