This will be the third visit from the Manchester-based Victoria String Quartet. They include two major works, Ravel and Shostakovich plus some pieces you may recognise. The short Prelude Crisantemi (Chrysanthemums) is well known but nobody will know the Parkin although some might recognise the part origin of this piece from the 8th Shostakovich String Quartet

Robert Cohen is an internationally-renowned performer and teacher, taught by Jacqueline du Pre and holding the prestigious William Pleeth chair at RAM. Dina Duisen has been to Rhyl with various other musicians of note and her career is significant.
Robert wrote the piano/cello version of Winterreise and I have asked them to play a selection from the song cycle.

The Sirenians have visited us many times over the years, always bringing a standard which is as close to fully-professional as we might expect of singers with ordinary jobs outside of music. They have won international prizes, performed with major orchestras and soloists – they are a truly formidable group under the inspirational baton of Jean Stanley Jones.

Carys and Tom formed this duo at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2019 and they now have careers as soloists and in ensembles as large as orchestras.
