Iyad Sughayer concert last night

Great disappointment because we had to postpone our duo featuring Esther Abrami and Rose McLachlan until next season.

Then we get a major positive in the form of young pianist Iyad Sughayer, thanks to the McLachlans
A concert of music half unknown to me turned into a fantastic evening - those Sibelius Impromptus were so accessible at first hearing and in many ways akin to Grieg's Lyric Pieces
Immense variety of sound and colour and quiet music still clear. This fellow really is a musician and not just a technician. Speaks to the audience - all the necessary social skills.
Here is how you find out what the audience thought - how many CDs were sold - a small covid times audience bought more than at any other concert in my memory.
Now I have to go and listen to his Khatchaturian CD knowing that in another year his second will be available with orchestral Khatchaturian and Andrew Litton from Cardiff.
I am certain Iyad will return to Rhyl
