“It is with much sadness that we record the death of our greatly respected Chairman, David Birch, who died on Thursday 12th August. David had been unwell since the beginning of the year and underwent treatment at both The Royal Liverpool Hospital and Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. Since his Chairmanship from 2016, he devoted himself to the continuation of our fine tradition of offering high-quality, live classical music and we shall miss his steady leadership. David was still very much involved in ensuring that this coming season would see the return of live music at the Town Hall and details of the forthcoming concerts will be posted shortly.”
