Diana Moore

A musical portrait of the life and music of Kathleen Ferrier.

Does anybody in the Club remember the Ferrier concert from about 60 years ago? If so, please let me know.

My first introduction to Kathleen Ferrier was through my father buying EPs (45 speed) of both she and Isobel Baillie. This didn’t cut much ice with an eight year old boy although I did recognise something quite unusual about the voice.

Diana Moore brings us a retrospective tonight of one of the great voices, one which may appear once in a generation.

This presentation has the stamp of approval of the official Ferrier Society and Diana has appeared at major venues to give this tribute.

Diana’s recent opera appearances include Prague, Versailles, Gottingen, Stockholm, San Francisco, New York and the Tanglewood and Ravinia Festivals

Reviews for her performances suggest that we are to be treated to a very special evening of music and more
