Liszt Vallee d’Obermann arrangement
Liszt Le Carnival de Pest (9th Hungarian Rhapsody)
Shostakovich Piano Trio Op 67
Having collaborated together in different chamber ensembles for three years, Eva
Thorarinsdottir, Joris van den Berg and Tristan Lee have recently formed this exciting
new piano trio. These three prize winning graduates of the Royal Northern College of
Music share a passion for exploring a diverse and challenging repertoire. 2011 will see
them performing in venues throughout the UK culminating in a recital at Wigmore Hall
to mark the bicentenary of Liszt’s birth.
Eva left her native Iceland to study at the Menuhin school and then RNCM. In 2009 she was
invited to lead an orchestra in Stresa under the conducting of Gianandrea Noseda.
Joris is Dutch and studied in Amsterdam before coming to RNCM where he won a prestigious Gold Medal.
Tristan is currently mentored by Leslie Howard and this explains in part why we loved his Liszt Sonata so much two years ago.
