Baker Street Brass is a london based brass quintet comprising five young dynamic musicians who are all graduates of some of the UK's leading music conservatories: Royal Northern College of Music, Royal College of Music, Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. The group performs regularly for music societies around the UK and in a variety of venues. Their programmes feature their own prolific arrangers, Oliver Hickie and Cai Isfryn, the co-founders of the ensemble.
Baker Street Brass has enjoyed a residency at Lancaster University since 2009 and performed three world premieres at the RNCM Festival of Brass in January 2010 in a recital featuring the euphonium virtuoso David Thornton, followed by the commissioning of "Fanfaronade" by Tom Harrold for performance at the Montepulci
ano "Cantiere" Festival in Tuscany later that year.
Individually , the group's members are all freelance musicians working with some of Britain's finest ensembles and together are striving to reach out to new audiences through the brass quintet medium.
